Automation Pipeline

A sequence of automated steps that processes information and takes action.

Definition

An automation pipeline is a series of connected processes that data flows through, with each step transforming, enriching, or acting on the information. AI pipelines might ingest incoming emails, classify them, extract key data, match against a database, generate a response, route to the right team member, and log the interaction — all automatically. Well-designed pipelines are modular, testable, and monitored so that failures at any stage are quickly detected.
