Pre-sales FAQ
Questions we hear before every engagement.
Answers written for Finance Directors, CTOs, Operations leads, and MDs — not for marketers.
What does Coaley Peak actually cost?
Nothing upfront. No setup fees, no retainers, no monthly management charges. Our only revenue is a pre-agreed percentage of independently verified savings or measurable performance improvements. If we don't deliver, we don't invoice — and on contracts started after 24 March 2026, we pay up to £10,000 if we miss agreed targets.
What's the minimum engagement size?
There is no minimum. We assess fit during the discovery call and process audit. If we can't identify material savings, we say so and there is no charge. The process audit (weeks 1–3) functions as a free, no-commitment feasibility study.
How long before we see savings?
Typically 4–12 weeks from deployment, depending on scope and client complexity. The implementation timeline on this page sets out the full schedule phase by phase. Specific timelines for your engagement are agreed in writing at the KPI agreement stage.
What data do you need access to?
Financial transaction data, cost line items, supplier and vendor data, and process metrics relevant to the agreed scope. We do not access personal employee data, HR records, or customer personal data unless explicitly in scope and covered by a signed Data Processing Agreement. See our Data & Security overview for the full detail.
Can we exit if it's not working?
Yes — 30 days' written notice, no penalty. All your data is returned in a machine-readable format within 10 business days and deleted from our systems. There is no lock-in of any kind.
Who independently verifies the savings?
An independent qualified professional relevant to the savings category — typically a chartered accountant, practising solicitor, or registered expert. Coaley Peak funds the verification entirely. You receive a copy of their report. See our Independent Verification page for the full process.
Are you GDPR compliant?
Yes. We are a registered data controller with the ICO (registration ZA505303), ISO 27001:2022 certified (UKAS accredited), and operate under a UK GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreement. A full DPA is available on written request prior to any data sharing.
What if you miss your targets?
On contracts started after 24 March 2026: if we miss agreed targets, we pay up to £10,000 in total — capped per 12-month engagement period. This is documented in the commercial agreement and governed by the same independent verification process. See our Guarantee page for the full terms.
Can we run a pilot before committing?
The process audit (weeks 1–3) is effectively a free pilot. We connect Owlpen to your platforms, map your cost base, and produce a full audit report identifying the highest-value opportunities — at no charge, regardless of whether you proceed.
Do you require exclusivity?
No. You are free to work with other providers simultaneously. We operate on trust: if the numbers aren't there, neither are we.
What's in scope and what's excluded?
Scope is agreed in writing at the KPI agreement stage, before any implementation begins. Nothing is added to scope without your written approval. There are no activity-based charges or scope-creep risks — you pay only on verified outcomes within the agreed scope.
Where can I see your full compliance documentation?
Our Compliance Centre contains our full certification register, insurance schedule, ISO controls, government framework memberships, and policy register. Our Supplier Compliance page on this hub summarises the key procurement information with direct links.
Ready to commission a process audit?
No commitment, no cost. We map your spend, identify the opportunities, and share the findings — under mutual NDA. Execution of the NDA can happen within two business days.
