About the role
Coaley Peak is a Google Partner. We use AI to reallocate paid media budget in real time — cutting waste and maximising return without human intervention for every micro-decision. As a Performance Marketing Manager, you will sit at the intersection of marketing strategy, data analysis, and AI-powered automation.
You will manage performance campaigns for a portfolio of clients across sectors — financial services, professional services, retail, and beyond — using our AI platforms and industry-standard tools. You will be the person clients turn to for honest, data-backed answers about where their budget is going and why.
This is not a role for someone who reports numbers without understanding them. We want someone who can look at a campaign, form a hypothesis, test it, measure it, and present the findings confidently — to a fellow marketer and to a sceptical CFO.
The kind of person we are looking for
At Coaley Peak, the technical work is only half the job. We are looking for people who are genuinely reliable — who do what they say they will, when they said they would, without needing to be chased. People who are friendly and easy to work with, both with colleagues and with clients. People who can sit in a boardroom and explain a complex AI model in plain English, and then go back to their laptop and write clean, well-documented code. People who are hungry, hard-working, and take real pride in their output — not because someone is watching, but because that is simply how they operate.
You are commercially curious — you care about the business outcomes of your campaigns, not just the click-through rates. You are comfortable with data and can build a clear argument from a spreadsheet, but you also understand creative, copy, and what makes an audience respond. You communicate confidently in client meetings, write clear reports that non-marketers can understand, and you are honest about what is not working and why. You do not oversell results.
What you will do
- →Plan, execute, and optimise paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, programmatic, and other relevant channels
- →Use and help develop our AI tools to drive autonomous media optimisation for client accounts
- →Own campaign performance reporting: build clear, client-ready dashboards and present results in monthly reviews
- →Conduct audience research, competitive analysis, and keyword/targeting strategy for new and existing clients
- →Collaborate with our Anvil (CRO) team to align paid traffic with on-site conversion improvements
- →Brief creative teams on ad copy, landing page requirements, and audience messaging
- →Monitor budgets, pacing, and ROAS/CPA targets across all managed accounts
- →Stay current with platform changes, AI ad tools, and industry best practice
- →Ensure all campaign data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and platform policies
What we are looking for
Essential
- →Demonstrable experience managing paid search and paid social campaigns (Google Ads and Meta Ads as a minimum)
- →Strong analytical skills — comfortable with GA4, Looker Studio, or similar reporting tools
- →Proven track record of improving campaign performance against commercial KPIs (ROAS, CPA, CPL, revenue)
- →Experience managing client relationships directly, including presenting results and making strategic recommendations
- →Google Ads certified (or willing to certify within three months of joining)
- →Right to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable (not essential)
- →Experience with programmatic platforms (DV360, The Trade Desk, or similar)
- →Familiarity with AI-powered bid management tools or marketing automation platforms
- →Experience in B2B performance marketing
- →Working knowledge of conversion rate optimisation (CRO) principles
- →Google Partner agency experience
What we offer
- →Salary of £38,000 – £52,000 per annum, dependent on experience, reviewed annually
- →28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- →Flexible hybrid working — Cheltenham HQ or London office
- →Private healthcare and employee assistance programme (EAP)
- →£2,000 annual professional development budget (including platform certifications)
- →Access to Coaley Peak's proprietary AI marketing tooling
- →Regular team offsites and an annual international travel programme
- →High-trust, outcome-focused culture
- →Accredited Living Wage Employer
