About the role
When Coaley Peak deploys an AI solution into a client business, the technical build is only part of the challenge. The harder part is people: getting teams to understand why the change is happening, trust the new tools, adapt their processes, and actually use what has been built. That is where you come in.
As a Business Implementation Consultant, you will be embedded with client organisations — sometimes for days, sometimes for weeks — helping them navigate the human side of AI adoption. You will run workshops, redesign workflows, train staff, create adoption plans, and act as the calm, knowledgeable voice that bridges Coaley Peak's technical team and the client's people.
You do not need to be an engineer. You need to understand what the technology does, be able to explain it clearly to anyone — from a warehouse operative to a managing director — and be skilled at helping organisations change how they work. This role sits within our Client Implementation team and works closely with our Forward Deployed Engineers and Client Solutions Directors on every engagement.
The kind of person we are looking for
At Coaley Peak, the technical work is only half the job. We are looking for people who are genuinely reliable — who do what they say they will, when they said they would, without needing to be chased. People who are friendly and easy to work with, both with colleagues and with clients. People who can sit in a boardroom and explain a complex AI model in plain English, and then go back to their laptop and write clean, well-documented code. People who are hungry, hard-working, and take real pride in their output — not because someone is watching, but because that is simply how they operate.
This role is built for someone who is naturally warm, confident, and excellent with people. You enjoy being in the room — running a workshop, facilitating a difficult conversation, or sitting with a team for an afternoon to understand exactly how they work. You are patient without being slow, structured without being rigid, and you have a genuine gift for making complex things feel simple. You probably have a background in change management, business analysis, consulting, or training — but what matters most is that you can walk into any organisation, earn trust quickly, and help people genuinely embrace change rather than just tolerate it.
What you will do
- →Lead the people and process side of AI implementation projects at client sites across the UK
- →Run structured discovery sessions to map current workflows, identify friction points, and understand how teams actually work day-to-day
- →Design and deliver change management plans tailored to each client's culture and pace of change
- →Facilitate adoption workshops, process redesign sessions, and team briefings — from front-line staff to senior leadership
- →Create clear, accessible documentation: process guides, quick-reference cards, and onboarding materials for non-technical users
- →Act as the primary point of contact for client staff during the implementation phase, answering questions and resolving concerns
- →Work alongside Coaley Peak's Forward Deployed Engineers to ensure technical solutions are built with real-world usability in mind
- →Track adoption metrics and report progress to client stakeholders and internal delivery leads
- →Feed learnings back to the wider team to improve our implementation methodology over time
What we are looking for
Essential
- →Experience in a client-facing role involving change management, business analysis, project implementation, or operational consulting
- →Strong facilitation and workshop delivery skills — comfortable leading sessions with groups at all levels of an organisation
- →Ability to explain technology and process change clearly to non-technical audiences, without jargon
- →Excellent written communication: able to produce clear guides, reports, and plans independently
- →Willingness and ability to travel to client sites regularly across the UK (full UK driving licence preferred)
- →Right to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable (not essential)
- →Experience with AI, automation, or digital transformation projects in a business context
- →Formal change management qualification (Prosci, APMG Change Management, or similar)
- →Background in training design and delivery
- →Experience working within ISO 9001-certified quality management environments
- →Familiarity with process mapping tools (Lucidchart, Visio, Miro, or similar)
What we offer
- →Salary of £35,000 – £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience, reviewed annually
- →28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- →Hybrid working — Cheltenham HQ base with regular UK-wide client travel
- →Private healthcare and employee assistance programme (EAP)
- →£2,000 annual professional development budget
- →Mileage allowance and all travel expenses covered
- →Regular team offsites and an annual international travel programme
- →A high-trust culture where your impact on client success is visible and valued
- →Accredited Living Wage Employer
