The evening
What you get
A free evening for business owners and senior leaders who have heard of ChatGPT but haven't had the time to work out what it means for them. No technical knowledge, laptop or preparation needed, and nothing is sold on the night.
- 1AI in plain English
- James MacKellar explains what ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot actually are, how they work, and where they help and where they don't. An everyday analogy for every idea, and no jargon.
- 2Will AI recommend you?
- Ethan Clarke-Wooster shows how a business turns up when customers ask AI for a recommendation, and what can stop it turning up at all. Many businesses block ChatGPT from reading their own website without realising.
- 3Your question, answered
- When you sign up, we ask what you most want to know about AI. We read every answer and shape the talks around them.
- 4A checklist to take home
- Check in ten minutes whether ChatGPT and Google mention your business.
- 5The room
- The talks take 30 to 45 minutes in all. The rest of the evening is for meeting other business owners over food, tea and coffee.

Who it’s for
For business owners and senior leaders
It’s for business owners and senior leaders in and around Bristol who have heard of ChatGPT but haven't worked out what it means for their business. You don’t need any technical knowledge, a laptop or any preparation.
Who it isn’t for: if you already use AI every day and want advanced techniques, this will feel basic.
Why it’s free: Coaley Peak trains businesses to use AI, and we'd rather show you what that's like than tell you about it. So the evening is free, nothing is sold, and the questions you send us show us what Bristol business owners really want to know about AI.
- Free to attend
- Nothing sold: no pitch, no offers
- Plain English, no jargon
- Your questions shape the talks
- Food: a charcuterie platter, tea and coffee
